The organization of the restorer's
workshop will take a few tricks that turn out to be extremely important,
because they reflect on security, time and quality of results.
In the arrangement of machinery,
equipment and supplies we should follow certain criteria of rationality
and safety.
First of all we have to worry about
the proper storage of flammable and/or toxic material, placing them away
from heat sources and where it is difficult to overturn them accidentally.
In addition, we should take all
possible precautions to prevent accidental start up of electrical
equipment, especially by inexperienced people, which occasionally could be
in the workshop.
Secondarily, we should, as far as
possible, separate the areas for the various phases of the restoration, to
prevent, for example, that damage a piece of furniture, already polished
while cleaning another one.
In the arrangement of benches, will
be considered natural and artificial lighting, reserving the most
enlightened areas, the phases of the work that require greater attention.
In order to obtain the best results
in the shortest possible time, will be cure of restorer have, in an
orderly manner, equipment and tools, to minimize the loss of time to find
them; which is summarized in the motto "everything in its place and a
place for everything. "
You must also remember that keeping a
clean working environment, as well as having a positive impact on the
health of those who work there, has some very significant effect on the
quality of the final result, especially during the dyeing and polishing.
It will therefore be appropriate, to
spend the last part of the working day to these demands, to start
work, the next day,in a neat and airborne dust.
